November-December Every Year
Provides gifts for two children from Atwater Elementary School in North Port, FL. Items include clothing, games, toys, and sports-related materials for two children. Unwrapped items are due by the second Sunday in December. We will include Ryle’s book Duties of Parents and a Young Children’s Catechism book.
Back Pack Angels
All Year Long.
Back Pack Angels is a year-long project with monthly item collections. Items that are always needed include toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, hairbrush, deodorant, bath soap, laundry soap, and other personal hygiene products. Recipients include students and their families in North Port, FL. Families have been verified as needy and/or homeless. Each donating group’s identity is made known so the recipients know who donated the items.
Operation Christmas Child
October – November Every Year
Operation Christmas Child is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, which distributes shoe boxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies internationally. We conduct this project annually. The recipients will receive a child-friendly Gospel booklet illustrating Christ’s life, death, burial, and resurrection.
