Our ladies’ Bible study, desiring to minister to their children, grand-children and great grand-children, did a study of Ryle’s Children’s Stories. I read these to my children when they were younger. Though, Ryle ministered in 19th century England, his book is extremely readable and I believe beneficial to all ages. The first story, The Two Bears, is quite different from what we would typically read to children today, however I would suggest that is part of its value.
